Vertical sundial on the southern facade of the fire station. The sundial was designed and made by Damir Juraj Mihaljević, a versatile machinist and poet from Zagrađe, former manager of the Zagreb funicular and the Sljeme cable car, long-term president of Zagrađe Fire Brigade and one of the co-founders of the Association of Native Writers and Painters of Požega-Slavonia County "Matko Peić". According to him, the sundial was made during the renovation of the fire station in 2011. The sundial represents a functional permanent installation of the game of light and shadow, which was designed to fit into the space of the southern facade, and is thus unique. The sundial itself was made according to the measurements of the position of the Sun, without major calculations. In 2013, a dial and a plaque with a poem by the same author were added:
A sundial on the front of the building The pendulum does not swing, the bat is not heard But it measures time by the sun's shadow An unstoppable flow in eternal change Life and death, day and night With faith in the life that will come later. Zagrađe, 2013. Author of the sundial and poem: Damir Juraj Mihaljević
